| WHO DAT? |
| William Widmer is a freelance photographer who spends most of his time in New Orleans, Louisiana. Muffalettas, oil spills, Zulu coconuts, and broken levees. Second lines, étouffée, drive-thru daiquiris, floods, and a fragile coastal ecosystem that is vanishing at the rate of nearly one football field per hour. He is a frequent contributor to The New York Times, covering news and feature stories throughout the Gulf Coast and Mississippi Delta regions, and has worked on assignment for clients including Brand Eins, Die Zeit, Financial Times, Nike, NPR, self-titled, and The Wall Street Journal. His work has appeared in the likes of The Chronicle of Higher Education, Esquire (RU), PLANETº, Smithsonian, TIME.com, and WIRED, and he's been known to shoot a good annual report from time to time. Mr. Widmer is currently available for assignment in the Gulf Coast region (and anywhere else). He travels well, holds two degrees of higher learning, likes to eat street food, and is also a lovely singer. |
